Jim Shore is known for his charming and innovative American folk art designs. With a carved-wood appearance, each piece is hand-painted on cold-cast resin. A favorite of quilters and non-quilters alike, the Heartwood Creek collection combines tabletop pieces, figurines, and home and garden decor to create with bright colors and intricate details that make it versatile enough to fit into almost any decor.
Shore's artistry and design for Heartwood Creek has earned accolades from the gift industry. In 2005, the National Association of Limited Edition Dealers named Shore Artist of the Year - for the second consecutive year - and his seasonal offering by Enesco as Holiday Dcor of the Year. In 2004,the NALED bestowed Artist of the Year and given NALED Award of Excellence, an award given by Board of Directors for providing a talent with universal appeal, superb craftsmanship and quality. His artwork for Heartwood Creek Nativity also took top honors as Collectible of the Year and Decorative Collectible of the Year.
